Thanks to the efforts of Barry Newman, Stewart Wilyman, John Tyrrell, Wendy Rousell and Billing Aquadrome Limited the festival continued in 2009.

The festival was cancelled by the previous organisers, Northampton Borough Council, and looked doomed. However, with very little time and by working extremely hard the festival was resurrected with only a few weeks to prepare.

Given a new lease of life, the 2009 festival was held at Billing Aquadrome near Northampton.

Another change was to go back to "FREE" entry for pedestrians to the event.

Barry, Stewart, John and Wendy have over 66 years combined ballooning experience.

2010 Festival

Negotiations are ongoing to secure the venue and dates for the 2010 festival.
